| Playing and Coaching Profile |
I have been playing tennis for 6 years now, having been coached for 5 of them. During this time I have achieved a 'reasonable' standard of playing ability. Besides playing in many strong social games and recreational playing, I have also entered into many intra and inter school wide competitions in the Sydney District, as well as a number of local competitions in which I performed well. After being assessed many times, I have been given an International Tennis Number Ranking of Level 6 and am currently training hard to reach a Level 4-5. I have also played in social weekly round robin tournaments with friends who have also acted as a constant source of social games with local tennis players of a high standard of playing ability. I thoroughly enjoy playing tennis and believe that throughout the period I have been playing I have developed a considerable deal to reach a competent standard of playing.
I have been coaching tennis for 4 years and during that time I have gained experience coaching a diverse range of players from small children to adults. I believe that in this time I have met the learning outcomes of a level 1 coach. As a coach I have utilised many training practices and drills to help players improve their general level of ability and in this time I have also learnt how to develop and adapt my drills to suit advanced level players. I have also had the responsibility of running tennis camps, organising tournaments and providing a fun experience for many students, all within a safe and positive tennis environment. |
