ATPCA Graduate Pro Strength & Conditioning Trainer

Learn to train specifically for tennis using modern methods to achieve faster and effective results, while preventing injury. Combining the most updated training concepts in the strength and conditioning world, this course is * 8 hours * and with each participant undergoing training with a hands-on experience.

Hosted by Henry So, ATPCA International Director of Strength and conditioning, ATPCA Master Professional Level 3, and Underarmour official lead trainer, this course will provide in-depth training and knowledge to certify participants to offer tennis specific training to all levels of play and prepares tennis coaches for a good grounding to providing a basic strength and conditioning program for their students.

The ATPCA strength and conditioning course Graduate Pro course will provide solid grounding into how modern methods of training differ from the traditional methods. Participants will experience hands on the modern methods of training, including:

  • Warm up (Dynamic stretching)
  • Core training
  • Balance training
  • Agility training
  • Strength training
  • Cardio training
  • Power training
  • Cool down (Static stretching)

Upon graduation, students will be certified to host basic strength and conditioning sessions for beginners to intermediate level, juniors, recreational adults and players.


ATPCA Advanced Pro Strength & Conditioning Trainer

The Advanced Pro Strength and Conditioning course Level 2 will go more in-depth into strength and conditioning training intermediate to advanced players. Introduction of more detailed topics include specifics of hip mobility, issues regarding footwork movement, and benefits of Olympic lifting.

All participants will be required to be physically competent to be able to demonstrate movements of high quality and accuracy. The Advanced Pro Strength and Conditioning course Level 2 will take the basic concepts in learn in Graduate Pro Level 1 course and breakdown into further detail to help target intermediate to advanced players.

Participants will experience hands on the modern methods of training, including:

  • Movement Preparation
  • Core training
  • Balance training
  • Agility training – footwork movement and patterns
  • Plyometric training
  • HIIT training
  • Strength training – Olympic lifting
  • Rotational training
  • Power training application to strokes
  • Vibration therapy and recovery
  • Programming and periodization

Special feature of introduction to Functional movement screening is also included. Upon graduation, students will be certified to host strength and conditioning sessions for intermediate level to advanced players.
